Do you want perfect abs? Do not miss snacking between meals!

The recommendation comes from experts at the Institute for Health and Nutrition in California. They noticed that people who are summing up in three meals a day are more likely to gain weight.

A recent study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported that those who take snacks between meals are by 60 percent less likely to gain weight than those who have a strict schedule of three meals a day. Moreover, those who prefer light snacks such as yogurt, a fruit or a mixture of nuts and dried fruits have 13 percent less risk growing a belly.

"If you sit for hours without eating anything, then our appetite grows out of control", said Paulette Lambert, director of the Institute of Health and Nutrition in California. "In these circumstances, the temptation to eat rich carbohydrates foods is high. And if the menu is abundant in these products, the body secretes more insulin to process sugar, a condition that increases the amount of body fat. And this fat is particularly accumulating around the stomach", warned Paulette Lambert.

To avoid these inconveniences, nutritionists advise us to not let more than 5 hours pass between meals. Thus, a program of eating right must necessarily include breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with two snacks a maximum of 200 calories each.
